Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ander Herrera are back for Man Utd as they host Everton in the Premier League on Tuesday, while Luke Shaw could also be in contention.

Ibrahimovic and Herrera have been suspended for the last few games, with striker Ibrahimovic banned for three matches after his altercation with Tyrone Mings, while Herrera was out for two games after being sent off in the FA Cup defeat to Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Shaw has linked up with the United squad ahead of the clash with Everton having held talks with Jose Mourinho on Monday.

Omitted from the 18-man squad to face West Brom on Saturday, the United boss afterwards launched a scathing attack on the left-back in which he questioned the 21-year-old's fitness and attitude.

But Shaw is now understood to have checked in with the United team at their hotel ahead of Tuesday's clash after 'clear-the-air' talks with Mourinho.

Mourinho's men will be looking to close the gap on local rivals and current fourth-placed side Manchester City, who they trail by five points, as well as going 20 Premier League games unbeaten.

Everton are just three points behind their midweek opponents in seventh place and could replace United in the table with a victory on Tuesday although they have played two fewer games.

Ronald Koeman will also be looking to become the first manager in Premier League history to win three consecutive away games at Old Trafford.

Along with Ibrahimovic and Herrera, Man Utd's record signing Paul Pogba, who has been absent for the last two games because of a hamstring injury, could be fit to return.

However, Juan Mata - who has undergone surgery on his groin - and defenders Phil Jones and Chris Smalling remain on the treatment table.

Everton look set to have the same squad and while ex-United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin (calf) could be available come the weekend, he will remain sidelined for this game.

James McCarthy (hamstring), Ramiro Funes Mori (knee) and Seamus Coleman (broken leg) are long-term absentees while Koeman says Aaron Lennon is "not in a physical way to be part of the team".
