Rivers Gov Dissolves 17 Local Government Caretaker Committees

Rivers State Governor,  Nyesom Wike on Thursday announced the dissolution of the Caretaker Committees of 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
The Special Assistant to the governor on Electric Media, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, revealed this in a statement in Port Harcourt as he added that the development was with immediate effect.
According to Nwakaudu, the affected local governments were: Abua/Odual, Akuku-Toru, Ahoada East, Andoni, Bonny, Eleme, Emohua, Etche, Ikwerre, Obio/Akpor, Ogu/Bolo, Okrika, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Omuma,Oyigbo, Port Harcourt City and Tai.
The affected caretaker chairman are to hand over to the most senior officials in their councils.
