Assange: Clinton leaks could come as early as next week

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said leaks on Hillary Clinton and other American politicians are coming “reasonably soon” and that information “teases” could drop as early as the next couple weeks.
“The first batch is reasonably soon. We are quite confident about it now,” Assange said on Fox News’ Hannity.

The WikiLeaks editor-in-chief opted not to provide specifics on a release, but added that the organization “might put out some teasers as early as the next week or the week after.”

In an August interview on the same network, Assange promised to leak “thousands” of document pages pertaining to Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee and the presidential election, adding that he anticipated it would have a “significant” impact come November.

In the wake of a massive summer hacking breach of the DNC and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the threat of another release of damaging documents has loomed large in the minds of Democratic operatives.

Clinton, meanwhile, has sought to implicate Trump in a possible Russian plot to interfere with U.S. elections, a charge that has been similarly made to Assange and his organization. Both have denied said allegations.
