PRAISE AND WORSHIP 

MESSAGE:

Beloved, you should be a voluntary giver. The Bible affirms that Zacchaeus gave his goods to feed the poor without being asked (Luke 19:1-9). He is a worthy example and I advise that you imitate him. Psalm 41:1-3 says, "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness."

Another type of giver you should be is an unpretentious giver. In giving, you should be modest and unassuming; don't try to impress others or make a show of your giving. In Luke 10:25-37, the Bible relates the story of a traveller who was attacked by armed robbers, wounded and left half dead. Though a priest and a Levite both ignored the man, the Samaritan had compassion on him. He bound up his wounds, poured oil and wine on it, set him on his beast and took him to an inn to take care of him. He paid for the sick man's treatment and promised to pay more when he returned from his trip. I want you to note that the Samaritan did all these without making any show of his giving. Imitate him!

As a believer, the Bible enjoins that you should be a perfumed giver. The Philippians were perfumed givers. The Bible says that their gifts were "an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God (Philippians 4:18). What it means is that they gave a fragrant offering, acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. Your giving should have these beautiful features. Finally, you should imitate the greatest giver -- God, who gave His only begotten Son for you and me that we might be saved (John 3:16-17).

Beloved, having learnt the type of giver you shouldn't be and the type heaven wants you to be, you should now make a decision to be an exemplary giver. Draw up a plan on how to achieve that. Take practical steps to become a faithful giver today. Your rewards will be amazing!

MESSAGE:

Imitating others who excel and are worthy examples is biblical. Apostle Paul said, "Imitate me as I imitate Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). Today, we shall look at more Bible characters whose example of giving you can follow.

Our Fire Scripture gives an account of a big little giver. Jesus was in church that day. He sat close to the treasury and observed people, rich and poor, cast money into the treasury. A poor widow, who gave two mites, was adjudged to have given all she had and more than others who put money in the treasury. This is because in God's kingdom, the value of your giving is measured by what you have left after giving, not what you gave. I want you to always bear this in mind when you give to God.

Also, you should be a sacrificial giver. This type of giver does not give out of surplus or abundance but out of poverty. He gives in an unusual, painful and extraordinary way that costs him much in order to attract God's attention. A good example of a sacrificial giver is David, who refused to give that which cost him nothing (2 Samuel 24:24).

In addition, you should be a consecrated giver. Jesus remains our best example in this case. He gave Himself and His all to save and redeem us. In 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, the Bible explains that the Macedonians were also consecrated givers. This is because they first gave themselves to the Lord and went on to demonstrate great acts of generosity to Him and His work. Beloved, I encourage you to imitate the two examples of consecrated givers I have given you -- Jesus Christ and the Macedonians. I also want you to realise that God is interested in your soul, not only your gift.

You can also be a life giver. Giving does not involve only money. You can give your time, talent and resources and you can win souls. A good example here lies in Peter and John, who had neither silver nor gold, but instead gave life to the lame man (Mark 12:41-44). The truth is that using your gift to do the work of ministry and move God's Kingdom forward, win souls and impact lives positively amounts to giving. You will not regret being a life giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7 "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

MESSAGE:

In continuation of yesterday's discourse, we shall be looking into how the quality of your giving determines who you are and the level of your intimacy with God.

Your offerings and tithes reveal the kind of believer you are, your level of spiritual maturity and faithfulness. They depict whether you are eternity in heaven-focused or earth-focused.

The Bible has several examples of great givers that are worthy of emulation. One of such is the example of the wise men from the East who visited Jesus shortly after His birth. They were men of wisdom and wealth who sacrificed time and great effort to trace Jesus. When they eventually found His family, the Bible says, ". . . They saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh." (Matthew 2:11). I want you to note that these men had no hidden agenda, neither were they self-seeking. They came specifically to worship Jesus and bless His family with gifts. Their expectation was to give generously and receive nothing in return. Beloved, like these men, you need to have the right intentions and motivations when giving. Ensure that your heart is pure and God will bestow more blessings on you.

Similarly, in Exodus 25:2, God commanded Moses to tell the children of Israel to bring Him an offering. However, God added that Moses was to collect from only those who bring the offering willingly and with their hearts.

Abraham is a classic example of a willing giver, worthy of our emulation. In Genesis 22:1-19, the Bible tells us how he willingly offered his only son to God. God saw his faithfulness and replaced Isaac with a lamb for offering. He was mightily blessed for his act of faith, obedience and worship. Beloved, I encourage you to follow the example of the three wise men and Abraham. Your giving will touch heaven and you will be tremendously blessed here on earth and in eternity, in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 6:2 "Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

MESSAGE:

The issue of giving and getting in the Kingdom of God needs some clarifications in the light of the Scriptures. It is true that Christians give but not all givers and what they give are pleasing and acceptable to God. Our concern here is, what type of giver are you? This year, I want you to aspire to be a cheerful giver in whom God is delighted. Then, who you are and what you give will be blessed and acceptable in God's sight. Let us examine the types of giver you shouldn't be.

Firstly, do not be a reluctant giver. People in this category are usually unhappy when anyone talks about giving. They raise all kinds of debate and arguments to justify their negative attitude. They give grudgingly or with so much reluctance. Some give in annoyance, very ridiculous amount revealing their mindset. Such people delay, postpone or borrow their tithes. These are not good examples of cheerful givers, so do not imitate them.

Secondly, you should not be a casual giver. These are occasional or irregular givers who show very little commitment to God's Kingdom. They are not consistent and faithful in their giving, when they give and how much they give. The truth is that God loves cheerful givers, and He generously reward those who diligently seek Him, even in their giving. Casual givers are not diligent in seeking God or in their giving.

Thirdly, you should not be a stingy giver. Some believers demonstrate lack of generosity. They are not willing to share their possession with anyone, not even with God nor Kingdom projects. They have forgotten that it is God that gives power to make wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Another set of persons are the covetous givers. The Bible recorded the case of Ananias and Sapphira, who held back part of the price of their possession pretending to give all. They deceived the Holy Spirit and paid with their lives.

Finally as a believer, you should not give with a mind of getting a reward. That is, do not give to be seen of men. The Bible says that such a person has received his reward here on earth (Matthew 6:2), and not worthy of Kingdom blessings. Remember, God loves a cheerful giver!

When you don't give, it means you are living for this life alone, not with eternity in view.

MESSAGE:

Lack of proper parental monitoring and guidance is responsible for the havoc the enemy is doing to children nowadays. Many parents are just not available; they are busy with other issues of life while their children are left at the mercy of wolves that devour without remnants. By the time the dastardly deeds of the enemy are done, more often than not, parents run helter-skelter to do damage control or seek lasting solution, unfortunately it has often become too late.

As a result of failed parenting, many untrained and ill-mannered youths have turned to vices and crimes. Such undesirable elements have negatively rewritten the history of their families and tarnished the good image their grandparents and parents worked so hard to build.

Failed parenting causes poor growth and development in children physically, mentally and spiritually. The consequences of negative developmental issues are carried over into future years, if left unchecked.

Most of the cases of mass failure in examination, truancy, cultism, are traceable to parents' poor nurturing and neglect of their duties in the lives of their children: failure to spend quality time with their children, teach and share helpful tips on how to live a godly life, rebuke, correct and discipline when necessary, encourage and support when needed. On the other hand, some parents always make negative comparison between their children and other children, criticise them without setting good examples. One of the best ways to teach a child anything is by doing it yourself. Leading by example goes a long way to teach and reinforce the needed virtues in the lives of these younger humans. Your child will see what you do and copy it. Dear parent, never underestimate the influence you have on these young ones. That is why your life should communicate and teach them positive values.

Beloved parent, avoid overpampering your child, else he becomes hardened and repellent to corrections. Rather, be there to help him where necessary, but give him room to grow, mature and be independent gradually. Show him love and teach him to love God and others. My prayer for you is that you will not fail in your parenting responsibilities and none of your children will become a black sheep, in the name of Jesus.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

MESSAGE:

Parenting is a responsibility given by God. Parents are going to account to God on how they discharged this divine responsibility. As God's stewards, they will also be rewarded accordingly.

God is not a man, and He has a just reward system. He punished Eli and took the priesthood from his lineage for failing to correct his sons, Hophni and Phineas, who desecrated God's temple and took what belonged to Him. Eli was a very weak and permissive parent. He sprared the rod of discipline and spoilt his children. God expected him to teach, demonstrate and enforce His commandments on his family and others in Israel. Eli did not. He incurred God's wrath and fierce judgement.

Beloved, Eli's misdeed is recorded for our learning and adjustment. How are you faring in your parental responsibilities? Are the biological and spiritual children God put in your care truly in Christ today? Perhaps you are unaware of their spiritual journey and placement. That could be because you think that your responsibility stops at providing them food and shelter. Hence, you regard their spiritual growth and well-being as secondary or unimportant. If this is your state of mind, you are completely wrong. You are responsible for ensuring that the children and wards in your care are born again, disciplined, serving God and heaven-bound primarily and that their physical needs are provided secondarily.

Parental failure is a major concern to God and man today. We need to arrest the ugly consequences of this error that we see in the Church and societies nowadays. Christian children, teenagers and youths can hardly be differentiated from unbelieving ones today. The key points of difference should be their values and fruit. Parents have failed in these areas. The enemy has turned many youths (Christians and non-Christians) to slay queens and kings, drug addicts and sex perverts. Academic and moral decadence are fast becoming the order of the day. This is nothing but parenting failure.

Teenagers and youths spend their valuable time on frivolities such as social media (relationship and date sites, worldly films sites, and so on) at the expense of their studies and the pursuit of academic excellence. There is need for parents to arise and salvage the younger generation to the glory of God.

MESSAGE:

Personal deliverance is all about spiritual self-help. It is making effort to solve your problems by yourself instead of depending on others. This is why MFM is a do-it-yourself  ministry, where you are taught to be your own prayer warrior. Lack of knowledge on how to go about personal deliverance has rendered a lot of people slaves to pastors, prophets and other categories of men of God. Many out of inability to help themselves have become bondmen and bondwomen to fake pastors.

Beloved, you can actually carry out deliverance on yourself. That is, you can be your own deliverance minister. The Bible says that we shall lay hands on the sick and the sick shall recover (Mark 16:18). This is telling us that you can lay hands on yourself and you shall be delivered.

However, it is not everyone that is qualified to minister personal deliverance. It can be done only by those who are born again and have surrendered their lives completely to the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour.

Therefore, the first step in deliverance is salvation. It is useless to minister deliverance to someone who has not transferred allegiance from the kingdom of satan to the kingdom of God. If you are not born again, it cannot work. The situation of the person will get worse, according to Matthew 12:43-45. So, before you embark on personal deliverance, you must ensure that you are a friend of God. Remember Amos 3:3 says, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Beloved, New birth will give you access to the power of God that will deliver you to the uttermost.

MESSAGE

Job 14:1 says, "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble." The above mentioned scripture makes it very clear that everyone is in trouble. As soon as a person is given birth to, he or she automatically enters into trouble. So, it will not be wrong to say that the second name of the world is trouble. It means that every one of us needs deliverance from one kind of trouble or another. As you are reading this, there is definitely one problem that you are trying to solve. It could be something you want to get away from or something you want to get into.

Anyone who is alive and does not have one or more problems to solve is as good as dead. However, these problems differ in many ways from person to person. As a result of these troubles, many people get involved in various things, as well as visit strange places in search of solutions to their problems. There are many who end up going to places they should not go to or doing things they should not do because of problems, consequently they find themselves in a bigger mess (1 Samuel 8:6-8).

You need to sit down and think about the places you have been and the things you have done when you had issues. Your solution will start from identifying the source or cause of your problems, and also, the activities you engaged in, in the course of your search for solution. For example, Esau entered into trouble when he lost control of his appetite for food. (Genesis 25:29-34). Likewise many people are in trouble today for lack of self-control.

Really, anyone who is determined to obtain personal deliverance must look inwards first. Once you succeed in identifying and dislodging the enemies within you, the enemies without will also surrender to God's power and you will be free, in Jesus' name.

KEYS TO SEEING IN THE SPIRIT by Dr D.K. Olukoya

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 119:18, 2 Corinthians 4:18, 2 Kings 6:15-17, Revelation 3:17-18

MESSAGE: 

Listen to me very carefully. This is something you do not normally hear, which is why you should listen carefully. A few scriptures before we go on very quickly. Psalm 119:8 is a very curious verse, a verse worthy of deep meditation.

Psalms 119:18 (KJV)  Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Right there where you are, raise up your right hand to the Lord and say:

•••>>> My Father, open my eyes, in the name of Jesus.

There was the psalmist praying for the miracle of open eyes. Note that the psalmist was not physically blind, but now was asking for God to open his eyes. There are things that are seen, and there are things that are not seen. There are things the physical eyes can see. There are things the physical eyes cannot see. Those are the things that are unseen. Paul said "we look at the things that are unseen". It is what the normal human being will just see that we are looking at.

Let us pick a little bit of message from the servant of Elijah. 2 Kings 6:15-16 (KJV) - "And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them."

But all those things sounded like theory to the servant. He was worried that they were surrounded by soldiers and his master was asking him not to fear. Elisha then prayed: 2 Kings 6:17 (KJV) "And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha."

Meaning that if the eyes of the servant were opened, he would have no cause to fear. He would just be rejoicing and singing praises. When you cannot see at all into the spirit realm, it is a serious problem. And this is something we need, going forward this year. 

The spirit realm is an arena of 10 main things. You know, man is actually a spirit, dwelling in a container called the body and having a soul. 

Man is totally different from the angels; the angels are spirits. But man is three is one. It is because of that body you are called a human being, but because of the spirit within you, you are also a spirit being. The spirit being in you has eyes. The body has eyes. It is one thing for the body to see, it is another thing for the spirit man to see. But since Adam fell in that garden (1 Corinthians 15:22 (KJV) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.), that is when the spiritual eyes were shut down. And so, what most people can see is what this physical body can see.

Listen to me very carefully. A lot of people are wasting time and money going from mountain to mountain, place to place, prophet to prophet when all they need to pray for is the mystery of open eyes.

•••>>> I am praying for somebody here this morning, every spiritual blindness, spiritual cataract, spiritual illness in the eyes, whether you like it or not, whether the enemy likes it or not, shall be evacuated in the name of Jesus. (A seven fold amen).

So there is a physical realm and there is a spiritual realm. When you say somebody is a witch, the difference is that the person can operate in the physical realm and operate in the spirit realm. So there is a physical realm that we can all see like this, but there is a spiritual realm that only the spiritual eyes can see.

•••>>> So the spirit realm is an arena of 10 main things:

•••>An arena of:

1. Mystery: you see things and they are totally mysterious. 

2. Deep revelations: Sometimes, it is like you are watching a film show.

3. Terrifying images: How many people would sit beside a person if they can see that he has a big serpent inside him? Or somebody is talking against you and you are trying to respond, but God opens your eyes and inside that person you can see a big serpent? It makes no sense to respond.

4. Unutterable occurrences: You can say it. It is strange to you. How can somebody come to you for prayers and God opens your eyes, and you find the person in a wedding garment and you find her own father in a wedding garment right beside her, but physically it is only her you can see? Occurrences that the Holy Spirit will say "do not say anything".

5. Shocking images that may make weak hearts to faint.

6. That makes you stop seeing men after the flesh. You just see them for who they really are.

7. Intrigues: you see somebody smiling but inside, it is a bitter serpentine hatred.

8. Power interplay: you see a lot of power interplay. Even amongst the children of darkness, they fight themselves.

9. Positive and negative display of power, because they know that once you change something in that spirit realm, the physical manifestation will take place. If you lose in the spirit realm, you lose in the physical. That is why some people have some strange dreams and begin to see the physical manifestation.

10. Joy and sadness.

I am going to pray these strange prayers:

•••>>> Any problem assigned to drive you into poverty must backfire this morning, in the name of Jesus! (A seven-fold Amen).

•••>>> I am praying for somebody here that the secret that the Almighty will show you that will change your life, the Lord will show it to you, in the name of Jesus.

We are talking about the spirit realm. I want you to understand what I am saying very well.

•••>>> I am praying for somebody here this morning: the secret you will know, the manifestation you will see, that will change your story to glory, receive it now, in the name of Jesus!

Are you following me this morning? The kind of things you see in the spirit realm are very intriguing. 

•••>>> I am praying for somebody here one more time, that any spirit of the dead assigned against any aspect of your life, I bury them now in the name of Jesus!

See beloveth, there are spirits in this service now, who do not need to enter through the door. They can enter from the roof or from the wall, but they are here. They are listening to me. They are here. There are angels all over the place, you cannot see them but they are here. Once a person sees them once, then you begin to understand why this man is always saying "open your mouth and pray!" "Why are they praying like this?" When you see them in action, you will pray more than I ask you to pray.

Because sometimes they come, look at a row of people and pass the row by. They will go to the next person, maybe touch just one person. In three other rows, touch nobody. They go again, and touch. But what you will observe that those ones they are touching are those who are totally focused on their prayers; their minds are not going here and there. Some people come with a heart of "I am just going for service". If God will open your eyes one day, when they say pray, you will pray.

Supposing you were like that little girl and you saw those angels standing by the altar and one of the angels looked at you and smiled, do you not know that your problems are over? But when you come to service, you feel it is just service now, nothing serious. 

Some do not even come for praises and worship. They feel it is not part of the service. But the truth is that, it is during praises and worship that there are plenty of angels around. Immediately after praises and worship, some depart with the sacrifices of praises. Then the military ones for prayers now come.

This is what you see in the testimony that one sister shared here. It was at this altar here that an angel grabbed her and led her all the way to Auchi, brought her back to prayer city, dropped her there and she was able to meet the deadline for the timetable of death prepared for her.

It is important beloveth, that any prayer you should pray, anything you can do from the scriptures to get your eyes opened, you should better do so quickly. Remember, Elijah was going away and Elisha was his servant. He tried to discourage Elisha. 

He got to Bethel and said "stay here. I am going somewhere". Elisha said "as the Lord lives and His Spirit is alive, I will continue to go with you". They got to Gilgal and Elisha repeated the same thing. And they kept going. When Elijah saw that Elisha could not be persuaded to turn back, he then said "I am going to be taken away from you. Ask me for whatsoever you want", and Elisha said "I want a double portion of your power". Elijah said "hmmm. You have asked for a hard thing. But if you can see me when I am being taken away from you, it shall be so. But if you cannot see me, it shall not be so".

So, everything depended on the spiritual eyes of Elisha being open. I am sure that seven days to that time the man must have stopped eating so that he could see. And the Bible said "and Elisha saw him". And that was how the man received the double portion. Can you lay your right hand upon your two eyes and shout this loud and clear:

PRAY: My eyes, receive the fire of deliverance, in the name of Jesus.

We are still coming back to pray more. So, the Lord wants us, beloveth, to have our spiritual sight opened. It may not be permanently opened to see everything, no; because if some people's eyes are opened all the time, they will lose their minds. They will be so scared. But when it needs to be opened, it needs to be opened. And so, we must learn how to see in the spirit realm. It is good to understand that once your spiritual eyes are opened, there are certain spiritual malpractices the enemy cannot do to you anymore.

When your spiritual eyes are opened, you will now begin to see life the way it should be seen. Seeing into the spirit realm will become your normal life. It is then you will be able to see that the man pursuing you has a wife at home and God shows you that you are actually dishing out your virtues to wicked men. They are with you to drain your life. You will run. Today, like the Bible says "as in Adam all died, even so in Christ shall all be made alive". Since that time of Adam, there is a veil that separates us from the spirit realm.

To many of us, this veil seems impenetrable. It blocks us from direct conscious contact with the spirit. It is something we call "the veil of separation". We need to pray against that veil. May of us still believe that only physical reality exists, because the veil is blocking our eyes from seeing the spirit realm that lies beyond. The truth is that spiritual things are not perceived by the natural man. The natural sight cannot see it. The natural mind is in darkness concerning spiritual things. It cannot even perceive them.

So it is possible for our spiritual sight to grow dim or not to see anything at all. A person could be completely spiritually blind. Unlike natural blindness that is obvious to you, spiritual blindness is difficult to discern. The people of Laodecia did not see their true condition. They thought they were rich and in need of nothing when the opposite was exactly the truth. That is why the Bible says "where there is no vision, the people perish". Backsliding normally starts with lack of vision. Revelation begins to grow dim. The vision begins to fade. The feeling fades. The passion fades. Then the fire goes out.

What we see affects us in many ways. What we see can stir up desire in us. It can inspire us. It can arouse great emotion. You need to position yourself this 2022, to be able to see in the spirit realm. This is where I am going to stop. I will continue next time.

2. Any evil tree growing in my life, what are you waiting for? Die in the name of Jesus. 

3. Lion of Judah, silence my enemies forever in the name of Jesus. 

4. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise, provoke my enemies to destroy themselves in the name of Jesus. 

5. Powers against my celebration, disgrace yourselves and die, in the name of Jesus. 

6. The problem that will make my enemies cry for death, O God arise, give it to them in the name of Jesus.

7. Any demonic power attached to my name, break away in the name of Jesus. 

8. Decree of wicked elders against me, bounce back on them, in the name of Jesus.

9. Arrows assigned to make my life a struggle, backfire, in the name of Jesus. 

10. Demonic doorkeepers locking out good things from me, die by fire in the name of Jesus.

11. Battle of financial embarrassment in my life, scatter in the name of Jesus.

12. Powers attacking me in the place of favour, be wasted in the name of Jesus. 

13. Powers assigned to exchange my money in witchcraft market, die in the name of Jesus. 

14. Every charm prepared to scatter my life, catch your owner, in the name of Jesus. 

15. (Lay your right hand on your head) Arrow of untimely death, I am not your candidate, backfire in the name of Jesus. 

16. Pandemic arrows, pandemic death, I am not your candidate, die in the name of Jesus.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

MESSAGE 

The events that characterise our world today have clearly shown that the whole world is in desperate need of the power of God to rescue it from the constant assaults of evil the enemy is hauling on mankind. These include: ravaging pestilences and plagues, including COVID-19 and other diseases, terrorism and insurgency, increase in occult practices and ritual killing, food shortage, hunger and extreme poverty, inter-tribal wars and so on. It is disheartening to note that believers and the Church of God, who the world look up to, are also endangered and caught in the web of these crises. Why is this so? Powerlessness!

In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." He meant that believers are called to demonstrate the power of the Living God over the devil, his demons and all their destructive work. Anything short of this will make the believer fall short of God's expectation. I strongly advise you to get rid of agents of powerlessness in your life: personal and corporate sin, unbelief, doubt and divine judgement, among others.

A powerless Moses wouldn't have been able to confront Pharaoh, subdue the powers of Egypt and bring the matchless power of God to bear in burying Pharaoh, his soldiers and chariots in the Red Sea. He wouldn't have succeeded in ending the 430 years of slavery, not to talk of leading the Israelites out of Egypt. Without God's power in the life of Elijah, he wouldn't have succeeded in challenging and defeating the prophets of Baal nor turn the hearts of Israel back to God. A powerless, lukewarm or cold believer or church cannot achieve a global harvest of souls for Christ in these last days. One of the responsibilities attached to our calling as believers is to demonstrate the love of God and the power of His gospel to mankind. How well are you discharging these responsibilities?

Beloved, for the Church to transmit God's power to this powerless world, you and I must be ready to be spiritual power generators and conductors. We must be filled with the Holy Ghost and Fire.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

MESSAGE: 

Yesterday, we began to examine the dangers of powerlessness and noted that a Spirit-filled Christian is an asset to God and a blessing to His kingdom while a powerless Christian is a liability to himself, God and others. You were encouraged to reject powerless Christian living and obtain God's power to reign in life.

SAY NO TO POWERLESSNESS (I) by Dr D.K. Olukoya

When there is powerlessness, the enemy will make the life of a person to run contrary to his divine destiny, dreams and prophecies. When the power of God left Samson, he became a mere toy in the hands of his enemies, the Philistines (Judges 16:17). When the power of God departed from King Saul, an evil spirit troubled him and he lost his mind. Both scenarios explain that powerlessness can come as a result of sin, as well as spiritual carelessness.

Lack of spiritual power is the reason that servants are riding the horses of many believers while they trek. The rate at which the enemy and his cohorts afflict and steal from some people at will is really alarming. Such people have been reduced to mere shadows of themselves. This is all because they lack the power to rule over the devil, resist him and make him flee

The kingdom of God is in power. Jesus Christ and the apostles demonstrated the power of God to the world and changed it for Christ. However, our Fire Scripture shows that powerlessness constitutes great disservice to God and His Kingdom. A man brought his epileptic child to Christ's disciples to heal, but they could not because they lacked the required faith and power. Jesus cast out the spirit and the disciples asked Him why they could not. He replied that is was their unbelief that rendered them helpless to contend with the demon.

Beloved, without being filled with the Holy Spirit and anointed with the power from on high, you cannot genuinely impact your generation for God, be His change agent and purpose partner. The only way to be a victor in life and not a victim, prey or casualty is to be filled with the power of God and to use it to achieve God's purposes. A powerless Christian and a powerless church can neither fulfil God's purpose nor bring glory to Him.
