CHRISTIAN WITNESSING (I)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 16:15-18

MEMORY VERSE:

Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

THE MESSAGE:

Christian witnessing is the "Great Commission" given to all believers in Christ. It is not for only apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors or teachers but every member of the body of Christ. Witnessing for Christ is to make Him known to those that do not know Him.

Christian witnessing is to declare the salvation of God through Jesus Christ, the hope of humanity. It is simply telling others that we have personally experienced the saving grace of the Lord Jesus. There are various verses in the Bible that tell us to witness for our Lord and Saviour as long as we live.

Witnessing is a command of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are duty bound to witness for Him because He died to accomplish our redemption on the cross and victoriously resurrected from the dead on the third day. Thereafter, He told His disciples to witness to all creatures -- Matthew 28:19. He did not suggest it, but commanded it and commissioned us to go out and spread the good news to the whole world.

1 John 1:3 says, "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ." So, witnessing for Christ means simply telling others what we have personally seen and experienced of the Lord Jesus.

When we witness for Christ, we fulfil our role and purpose as His chosen branches that are set in the vine to bear fruits (John 15:16). We will also be discharging our responsibility and expectation to make the unbelievers hear the gospel. Similarly, by witnessing for Christ, we will be working against satan's kingdom and strategy to keep people in the dark and under his authority.

Are you witnessing for Him? Are you obeying this commandment? Do you feel unconcerned? If you have been truly saved, the Spirit of the Lord in you will make you restless, until others have heard about Him from you.

1. Lord, forgive my reluctance to preach the gospel, in the name of Jesus.

2. Power to speak the word in season and out of season, possess me, in the name of Jesus.

3. My Father, give me the grace to do Your will as written in Your word, in the name of Jesus.

4. O Lord, send me to those that need to hear Your word, in the name of Jesus.

5. Power to make only Jesus my message, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.

6. Holy Spirit, fill me with Your fire to propagate the gospel, in the name of Jesus.

7. Darkness, depart from the lives of the unsaved and let them come to the knowledge of Christ, in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 3:10 "And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."

THE MESSAGE:

A battle is a fight or war between opposing forces. Once you declare for Christ, you automatically engage in the battle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of satan. All Christians are involved in this spiritual battle on daily basis. However, there is another kind of battle known as foundational battle. The nature and intensity of this battle will be determined by so many factors that make up a man's background. Job 14:1 says, "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble."

Ninety-five percent of very difficult problems that people have are rooted in their foundation. To solve these problems, such people need to get down to the root causes which could be ancestral, parental, environmental, etc. Reading through the word of God, one finds out that even Jesus addressed this problem. He addressed the Jews by pointing accusing fingers at their backgrounds in Matthew 23:29-35.

Root battles are the unseen causes of problems in a man's life. Many people fight the wrong enemy and end up using the wrong weapons. The root causes of a person's problem can be sin, ignorance, ancestral pollution, pride, ungodliness etc. To fight and win these battles, the person must go back to the Eternal Root for solution. According to Romans 15:12, the Eternal Root is Jesus. He is the solution to every problem a believer may encounter. Have you discovered the root of the problem in your life? The devil will always want to shield it but its discovery is vital to your complete deliverance. When you have discovered the root of your problem, you must pray prayers that touch the root. I pray that every plant which the Father has not planted in your life shall be rooted up, in Jesus' name.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

THE VERY ROOT OF THE PROBLEM IN YOUR LIFE SHALL BE CUT OFF, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

MORNING

1. Father Lord, send Your fire to the root of my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. All the good things of my life that are locked up in satanic banks, be released, in the name of Jesus.

3. Every ordination of evil upon my life will not prosper, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Let the axe of fire of the Holy Ghost uproot every evil tree in my life, in the name of Jesus.

5. Every evil plantation behind my problem, be cast into fire, in the name of Jesus.

6. I speak destruction into the camp of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.

7. I speak destruction unto every evil plantation, in the name of Jesus.

THE POWER OF VISION

THE MESSAGE:

Vision is the ability to see into the future, your preferred future. A man without vision will lack direction. A man without vision is either dying or dead. When you have a good vision you will be able to structure your life properly. Your vision will influence every area of your life. In the real sense, it determines how far you can go in life.

Do you have a vision for your life? Please write it down and pray to God for its actualisation. If you don't have one, please pray earnestly and fervently for God's intervention because lack of vision is one of the strategies of the enemy to rob you of your glorious destiny.

Beloved, what you see is what you get in life. What you do not see, you can hardly get. God works with the vision you have of yourself, especially those that originate from Him to you. No one ever became anything worthwhile or recorded great achievements in life without first having a vision and running with it. Your vision is therefore the key to your preferred future. Do you have a vision?

When God decided to bless Abram with landed property, after lot had separated from him, He told Abram to lift up his eyes and look from the place he was northward, southward, eastward and westward and assured Abram that he would give all the land to him and his seed forever (Genesis 13:14-15). This vision was first imprinted in the spirit of Abram and he believed and ran with it before it became a reality. Also, in Genesis 15:1-6, when God wanted to give Abram a child, the Bible says, "And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be."

To avoid failing in life and eternity, you need a clear vision for your life. Your God-given vision will give you direction or roadmap and help you to achieve your divine purpose. It will give you passion and motivation to pursue your life goals. It will also help you to prioritise your life and time as well as discipline your actions by developing the right values. Finally your God-given vision will protect you from failing in life. The fulfillment of your vision is the key to your happiness.

6. Vision killers, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.

7. My God-given vision, receive divine power for fulfilment, in the name of Jesus.
