MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SPIRITUAL BENEFITS OF FASTING

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 17:14-21

MEMORY VERSE:

Matthew 17:21 "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

Jesus emphasised the importance of fasting to His disciples and all children of God. He made it clear that some levels of spiritual feats can only be attained with fasting and prayers. Hence, you need to raise your spiritual frequency above the usual in order to overcome some of the battles you are engaged in.

Fasting is one of the ways Christians empower and energise the spirit man. It purges, breaks and humbles the flesh (the old man) in the believer. It brings the body under subjection to the spirit man. It humbles the believer before God. It sanctifies his soul and spirit. When a believer fasts, he is telling God that He takes priority over his desires. Fasting is choosing God and denying oneself.

Beloved, fasting is no bribery; it does not change God. Rather, it changes us. It is one of the ways we consecrate ourselves in order to bring down the power of God upon our lives. It is a way to prepare you as a vessel for God and cleanse you for Him to use. Fasting keeps believers away from sin.

Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights before He started His ministry (Matthew 4:1-3). Before embarking on any assignment, take your time to commit it into the hands of God with fasting and prayers.

The people of Nineveh fasted and prayed in repentance when Jonah confronted them with their sins (Jonah 3:5). David also fasted and prayed when Prophet Nathan confronted him with his sin (2 Samuel 12:16). You should be ready to do the same when confronted with the guilt of your sins. That is, repent and ask for forgiveness in prayers and fasting. Jehoshaphat declared a fast throughout Judah (2 Chronicles 20:3) and God gave him a miraculous victory. The disciples of Jesus and John the Baptist fasted.

It is amazing, that even the children of the devil know the importance of fasting. In Acts 23:12-16, there were forty men who took an oath and fasted to kill Apostle Paul. If the children of the devil could fast because they wanted to kill one man, the children of God should know and do better.

The good thing about fasting is that it brings us closer to God and increases our spiritual temperature if done in consecration and submission to His will. Please note, beloved brother and sister, let your fasting be done purposely in order to achieve the desired result.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

Fasting is the fertiliser that gives our prayers nutrients and humble the activities.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

YOUR GOD SHALL ARISE AND HONOUR YOUR FASTING AND PRAYERS, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Lord, help me to redefine my priorities to fit into Your will for my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. Fire of revival, enter into my bones, in the name of Jesus.

3. Holy Ghost fire, cleanse and purify my vessel, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Lord Jesus, make me a useable material in Your hand, in the name of Jesus.

5. I bind and destroy every instrument of spiritual laziness in my life, in the name of Jesus.

6. Every work of the flesh hindering my spiritual growth, die, in the name of Jesus.

7. Father, open my eyes to my spiritual weaknesses and help me to overcome them, in the name of Jesus.

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

TAKING TERRITORIES

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Joshua 1:1-4

MEMORY VERSE:

Joshua 1:3 "Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

Taking territories has several meanings. It is breaking into new frontiers, taking your environment for Christ, growing spiritually and advancing from one level to another level. It also means taking new initiatives and developing new opportunities.

Whatever we read in the Bible, whether an event that happened, an instruction that God gave, or something that God did, we can always find in them principles informing and directing what we do today. God promised Joshua that wherever the sole of his foot touched He had given to him. In other words, wherever Joshua could walk was potential property for him.

If you had that promise in these days, I am sure you will intentionally walk large portions of land and claim all for yourself and your family after you. That promise God made to Joshua still stands today. This time the context is different, however. I am sure you have lived in different places at this point in your life. The question to ask is this: Did you possess all those places that you lived? To interpret this more accurately, how many people in those areas did you "possess" for the kingdom?

We should be Kingdom-conscious wherever the Lord, secular assignments and so on might take us. I believe that one thing we can add to our profile is how many came to know the Lord because of your presence in those communities. How has been your Christian witnessing so far?

Moses identified seven territories that the Israelites were to possess in order to inherit their promised land: the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites. Just as Israel of Moses' and Joshua's days had territories to conquer, in our day, we too have "territories" that must be brought under the Lordship of Christ.

The Great Commission instructs us to make disciples of all nations, not just converts. When the Lord gave the Great Commission, His focus was on nations being discipled for Him and not just individuals. Yet today, most of what we preach across the Body of Christ is individual salvation and not a message with a view of societal change and transformation.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

Those who are faint-hearted cannot take territories. Be courageous!

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

TODAY, THE LORD WILL GIVE YOU THE HEATHEN FOR YOUR INHERITANCE AND THE UTTERMOST PART OF THE EARTH FOR YOUR POSSESSION, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. I receive divine mandate to recover my stolen territories, in the name of Jesus.

2. Lord, use me to do exploit in this generation, in the name of Jesus.

3. Power for territorial dominion and transformation, fall upon my life, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Lord, raise me as Ezra and Nehemiah for good works, in the name of Jesus.

5. Territorial powers hindering the will and purpose of God for my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

6. I receive power to tread on territorial serpents and scorpions, in the name of Jesus.

7. Sanballat and Tobiah on agenda to stop my progress, be wasted, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Devotion |Fri| [THE POWER OF BROKENNESS]

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THE POWER OF BROKENNESS

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalms 51

MEMORY VERSE:

Psalms 51:17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

In 2 Samuel 12:1-12, after Nathan's very grave speech to David, David's only recorded response in the passage is found in a simple but loaded statement: "I have sinned against the Lord."

This is David, a man after God's own heart and the greatest king of Israel. This remorseful response is a profound attitude of brokenness. Beloved, anyone that ignores the highway of brokenness cannot make it spiritually. What is brokenness? It is the shattering of your self-will. It is the absolute surrender of your will to the will of God. It is the condition of being completely subdued and humbled before the Lord, and as a result, completely yielded to and dependent upon Him also. Brokenness is the spirit of the humble, contrite heart, the poor and the harmless. You must understand that God breaks us in order to mould us into what He wants us to be.

Brokenness is a prerequisite for you if God must use you. It gives us access to God's secret place. It brings us into intimacy with the Lord God Almighty and opens up our lives to spiritual fellowship with our Maker. Jesus is our perfect example of brokenness. Are you broken? If you refuse to be broken, the pleasant sweet smell of your life will not flow out. Moreover, brokenness is the right of passage to blessings. It is the bridge to the depth of God's love and intimacy. However, it is not without a price. You have to give up your life completely so that you can gain all of God. Unfortunately, without brokenness, you will miss the Lord's best for your destiny and experience a life-long process of stagnation. You may make little progress, but not without still messing up your Christian testimony. These will not be your portion, in the name of Jesus.

I encourage you to pray to God to break you and make you into the image of His Son, Jesus. What He breaks, He makes. And what God makes is always beautiful.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

What God breaks, He makes into a masterpiece.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

GOD WILL ARISE AND MAKE YOU WISER THAN YOUR ENEMIES, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your wonderful plan for my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. Stronghold of stubbornness in my soul, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

3. Demonic powers pulling my life away from God, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. My destiny shall arise and disappoint my enemies, in the name of Jesus.

5. Thou Great Potter, I present my life and destiny to you, perfect them, in the name of Jesus.

6. My Father, by Your mercy, make me a vessel unto honour, fit for Your use, in the name of Jesus.

7. I dedicate my life, my destiny and all that belong to me to Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Devotional |Thurs| [SIGNS OF BROKENNESS]

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SIGNS OF BROKENNESS

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalms 34:18; Psalms 51:17; Isaiah 57:15

MEMORY VERSE:

John 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

Brokenness is the total submission to the will of God and an absolute, determined zeal to carry out His will in your personal conduct as a Christian. It is allowing the Holy Spirit to reign in every department of your life without frustrating His still small voice directing your conduct and responses to the reality of your daily life.

When you are broken, you are always welcomed in God's presence and are able to live the life of holy revival. What are some of the signs of brokenness? Here are some of them in the light of God's word.

The broken Christian will have a crucified flesh (Galatians 2:20). He or she will accept correction with meekness (Acts 23:1-5). He or she will admit fault without fuss, listen to other people's opinion and will not be bitter when not having his or her way. He or she does not pull down others to lift themselves up. He or she consciously decreases and allows Jesus to increase in him or her.

Similarly, the broken Christian does not show off to appear to be better than others. He or she is always concerned about God's approval than men's approval of you and does not blow personal trumpet but let others blow it for him or her. Also, a broken Christian does good to people without expecting a return of the favour from them. He or she does not gossip nor have a double personality. He or she readily forgives others and quickly apologises when he or she offends others.

In addition, a broken Christian does not have a critical spirit for others and does not harbour impure thoughts in his or her mind. He or she maintains a strong and healthy prayer altar and increases the knowledge of God by constant research of His word. Finally, a broken Christian walks by faith and not by sight.

Beloved, when you are broken, God personally reserves a seat for you in His presence.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

To walk in the pressure of self discipline to please God brings to you the divine pleasure of God's approval of your walk with Him, and a successful journey to heaven.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

YOUR LIFE SHALL BE A GLORIOUS EXAMPLE OF GOD'S MOULDED VESSEL UNTO HONOUR, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. My Father, I am available, use me for Your glory, in the name of Jesus.

2. O God, cleanse me inside and outside with Your brush of fire, in the name of Jesus.

3. O Lord, cut off from my life anything you hate, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. My heart, remain steadfast in God's ways, in the name of Jesus.

5. I disengage myself from dark powers assigned to pollute my glory, in the name of Jesus.

6. O Lord, empower me to sleep and wake up in Your likeness everyday, in the name of Jesus.

7. Every evil dream that pollutes my glory, die, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Devotional |Wed| [IMPORTUNITY IN PRAYER]

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

IMPORTUNITY IN PRAYER

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 11:5-8

MEMORY VERSE:

Luke 11:8 "I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

What an amazing Bible verse! I love the word "IMPORTUNITY". It means "persistent begging". Hardly does any Christian believer today obey this Scripture. I believe it is largely because our preachers these days need to teach and practise prayer more. We hear plenty of preachers begging man for money, but they ought to be begging God on behalf of man instead.

When the Bible teaches praying "importunately" (Luke 11:5-8), it is in reality teaching about "sacrificial praying." The simplest definition of importunity is persistent and urgent asking. Importunate prayer then is persistent and urgent; it is the prayer that pleads with God and asks Him repeatedly for the things we need. It is the prayer that is drawn by God and that follows after Him. It is the prayer that is aroused and energised by the Holy Spirit. It moves our souls toward God and presses our desires upon Him repeatedly with urgency and perseverance, but also with patience and waiting until our prayers are heard and answered.

Jesus taught on the importance of importunity (persistence) in prayer. He accompanied His instructions with an illustrative parable. In the first instance, He told the parable of the friend at midnight (Luke 11:5-8). In the second, He told the parable of the widow and the unjust judge (Luke 18:2-6). In both instances, the petitioner persisted until the petitioned showed himself willing to grant the petitioner's plea.

Persistence is imperative on the front-end of prayer. It is to be practiced until God reveals to us His willingness to grant the petition for which He has burdened us to pray. Once His will is revealed, we can pray in faith for God's will to be done and rest assured that our prayer is answered.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. In James 5:17-18, we see that Elijah was a man of prayer, so, he persisted until the heaven gave rain. This isn't something you do once and go to sleep. Notice the word, "persisted"; you are to continue in prayer in line with God's word. It's your responsibility to ensure that whatever changes you seek in your life as an individual is effected through importunity in prayers. Never think that your prayers isn't making any difference; you make great impact when you pray.

Therefore, continue in prayer. Even when you don't "feel" like praying, pray!

When you do this consistently, it will become a part of you, resulting in great changes in your life to the glory of Christ.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

Importunity in prayer is the vehicle of great open doors.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

THE HAND OF GOD THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR UNSTOPPABLE SPEED IS RELEASED UPON YOU NOW, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Father, I make demands on the discipline of a prayer schedule, in the name of Jesus.

2. O Lord, draw me closer to You and give me the grace to be persistent in the place of prayer, in the name of Jesus.

3. O Lord, help me not to put other things first but put You first, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. LORD, deliver me from distractions, in the name of Jesus.

5. Father, I receive fresh passion for Your presence, in the name of Jesus.

6. LORD, give me fresh grace to love You like never before, in the name of Jesus.

7. Lord, use my life to bring glory to Your name and kingdom, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Devotional |Tue| [JESUS: OUR PROPITIATION]

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

JESUS: OUR PROPITIATION

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 2:12-20

MEMORY VERSE:

Romans 3:24-25 "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

The death of Christ turns away the wrath of God. Apostle Paul said that Christ is our propitiation. By this, he made reference to what Christ did on our behalf before God. Through His atoning sacrifice and finished work on the cross at Calvary, Christ assuaged or pacified God and made Him to remove His wrath from us.

The Bible affirms that God gave His Son as a means of the propitiation. 1 John 2:2 underscores it, "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." Similarly, the Bible says, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1 John 4:10). God could not let sin go as a mere slip away. He demanded the atonement and provided it. Hebrews 2:9 adds this, "It was by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone."

According to the New Testament, propitiation refers to the act of getting rid of sin which has come between God and man. The blood of Jesus satisfies the just requirements of God's holy law which mankind broke, pays the penalty for man, and thus removes that which had separated between a holy God and sinful man: sin, its guilt and penalty.

The LORD God set forth His Son, the Lord Jesus, as the One who would be the satisfaction for our sins. Because God is satisfied with the payment of the sin debt, His wrath is turned aside, away from the believing sinner. Christ absorbed the wrath of God on our behalf. He bore our punishment as our substitute.

God sent His one and only begotten Son who lived and died for our sins. With Christ's death on the cross, the sinner who believes Him is acquired. He is our expiatory sacrifice that satisfied the righteousness of God. His death paid our debt in full and our holy God was satisfied.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

Christ our propitiation is available for all who seek Him.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

CHRIST'S PROPITIATORY SACRIFICE OVER YOU WILL NOT BE IN VAIN, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Lord Jesus, draw me near by Your blood, in the name of Jesus.

2. Blood of Jesus, break down the middle wall of partition between us, in the name of Jesus.

3. Blood of Jesus, reconcile me unto God in one body by the cross, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Lord Jesus, show me the exceeding riches of Your grace, in the name of Jesus.

5. Lord, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Yourself, in the name of Jesus.

6. Lord, let me walk in You, rooted, built up and established in faith, in the name of Jesus.

7. The tradition of men, their philosophy and vain deceit shall not prevail over me, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Devotional |Monday| [STANDING ON GOD'S PROMISES (II)]

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

STANDING ON GOD'S PROMISES (II)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Romans 4:16-22

MEMORY VERSE:

1 Kings 8:56 "Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

Yesterday, we learnt the importance of knowing and appropriating God's promises. We also learnt the conditions every believer needs to fulfil to turn the Father's promises to personal testimonies. It is also important to know the characteristics of God's promises as this would enable believers to further value them.

First, God's promises are unfailing. Solomon had the privilege of building the house of God. He acknowledged that it was in fulfilment of God's promise. In 1 Kings 8:56, he prayed thus, "Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant." Is there any promise of God you are believing Him for its fulfillment? It will never fail!

Second, God's promises are assured by divine ability (Romans 4:21). Our God is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent. Nothing is impossible for Him. That should give you an assurance that whatever He has promised you, He is capable of fulfilling. The Bible says that Abraham was blessed by God because He was fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able to perform. You should borrow a leaf from him. It takes unwavering faith to claim God's promises and turn them to testimonies.

Another characteristic of God's promises is that they are grounded in Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." Christ's sacrifice on the cross, stamped the authority of God on His promises to us.

Similarly, God's promises are infinite value. In 2 Peter 1:4, the Bible says "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." The blessings attached to every promise of God are unquantifiable and timeless. Therefore, ensure that you attach the appropriate value to them.

Lastly, God's promises culminate in everlasting life. In 1 John 2:25, the Bible affirms this, "And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life." God is forever faithful. His promises of eternal life is for anyone who believes (John 6:47). If you believe God and are living in His will, His promises for your life will never fail!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

Let God's promises shine on your problems.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

HENCEFORTH, YOUR LIFE SHALL BE A TESTIMONY OF ANSWERED PRAYERS AND GOD'S FULFILLED PROMISES, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Father, I thank You for Your word that never fails, in the name of Jesus.

2. Father, I thank You because Your promises have unquantifiable and timeless blessings, in the name of Jesus.

3. Any power working against the fulfilment of God's promises for my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Strong man standing in the way of my angel of fulfilment, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.

5. Divine helpers that will aid the fulfilment of God's promises for my life, locate me now, in the name of Jesus.

6. Father, by Your mercy, turn Your precious promises for my life to testimonies, in the name of Jesus.

7. I claim God's promises for prosperity, in the name of Jesus.

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

STANDING ON GOD'S PROMISES (I)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 8:54-56

MEMORY VERSE:

2 Corinthians 1:20 "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

Many believers miss out on the wonders and blessings of God's promises, year in year out. The reason is that some are ignorant of these great and precious promises as well as the blessings attached to them while others do not know how to claim and convert them to useful realities in their lives. Whichever of these two categories you belong, you are missing a lot and need help.

One apparent consequences of not claiming and benefiting from God's promises is that the individual will live a life that is lower and less dignifying than what God has ordained for His children.

God's promises are to be appropriated and enjoyed by His children as their covenant right. It will  therefore be improper to deny yourself of such a great opportunity or to allow the enemy to rob you of them through ignorance or unbelief.

The Bible is a Book of exceeding great and precious promises. It contains promises on good health, longevity, fruitfulness, financial prosperity, peace, joy, progress, promotion, marital bliss, ministerial success, victory, dominion, security and so on. God exalts His word above His name. His promises are yea and amen, and He abides faithful forever.

Beloved, if you have not been claiming and enjoying the fulfillment of God's promises, you should do a personal check. Are you a born again child of God? Are you living and walking in His will? Do you read and live by the word of God daily? Are you identifying God's promises and praying to God specifically about them, especially in that area of your need? If your answers to the foregoing questions are not in the affirmative, you have to turn a new leaf today.

God is ever ready and willing to fulfil His promises. You need to do your part of the bargain too!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

From one end of the Bible to the other, God assures us that He will never go back on His promises.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

THE PROMISES OF GOD FOR YOUR LIFE WILL BECOME GREAT TESTIMONIES, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Thank You, Father, because Your promises are yea and amen, in the name of Jesus.

2. Thank You, Father, for the exceeding great and precious promises that You have made for my good and well being, in the name of Jesus.

3. I stand on the promises of God that cannot fail, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. I overcome doubt and unbelief, in the name of Jesus.

5. I claim God's precious promises for good health and long life, in the name of Jesus.

6. Thou power of God, convert God's promises to testimonies in my life, in the name of Jesus.

7. Good promises for my life, receive power for rapid fulfilment now, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Devotion |Saturday| [ SPIRITUAL IMMUNITY]

MOUNTAIN TAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SPIRITUAL IMMUNITY

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 121

MEMORY VERSE:

Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

As a born again child of God, I want you to be conscious of the fact that you are born to have automatic spiritual immunity. It means that some things that happen to some people can never happen to you (Mark 16:17-18). Spiritual immunity gives you more balance and strength to handle life issues. What would break others won't affect you negatively because greater is the One in you than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Beloved, with spiritual immunity you  have the ability to bounce out of dark or negative situations easily. Spiritual immunity will make you to be one of those who will be unaffected by any evil occurrences because God is the One preserving and sustaining you all through life.

The longer you stay in prayer and meditation upon God's word, the greater the accumulation of spiritual energy which increases your spiritual power and immunity. I advise you to spend quality time in God's presence regularly, live in obedience to His word and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The word of God is the Bread of Life. When it dwells richly in you, you shall never be hungry. It is power and fire. It is the presence of God Himself (Colossians 1:17). Child of God, you cannot be a carrier of God in you and yet become a toy in the hand of the devil. You are too hot to be tampered with (Psalms 105:15).

That is why we sing this song, which is also a confession of God's presence in and around us through the blood of Jesus:

I will sing unto the Lord, a joyful song,

I will praise His name for the Lord is good,

I am covered by the Blood of Jesus oh (3x)

Satan cannot harm me (repeat line 3)

I am an overcomer.

This is also a way of showing gratitude to God for being the shield over us.

Brother, sister, for a Christian, the only immunity available is from God and by God Himself, not money, not having security agents all around you, not recitation and chants of strange speeches. Your life is hid in God through Christ Jesus because you are a branch of the Vine and God is the wall of protection within and around you (Zechariah 2:5).

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

Spiritual immunity is the desperate need of God's people today. Only God is your sure protection.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:

GOD WILL KEEP YOU AS THE APPLE OF HIS EYES AND HIDE YOU UNDER THE SHADOW OF HIS WINGS, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Every ministry of Hamaan, working against my greatness, expire on your tree, in the name of Jesus.

2. I proclaim aloud that no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper, in the name of Jesus.

3. Every evil plan by unfriendly friends, targeted at my destiny, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. The plans of witchcraft jealousy and envy of my father's house, of my mother's house, catch your senders, in the name of Jesus.

5. Evil powers of my father's house, of my mother's house, be broken from my life and ministry, in the name of Jesus.

6. Every witchcraft plan assigned against my glory, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

7. You witchcraft hunters assigned against my star, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Devotion |Friday| [THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CROSS (II)]

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CROSS (II)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 1:17-18

MEMORY VERSE:

Galatians 6:14 "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

The message of the cross today is as important as the message of life. Man was created in the image of God to fulfil His will and to show forth His glory. Through rebellion, man was alienated from his Creator. Many have tried to reunite with God through their own efforts like being religious, living a good life, attending church, not harming anyone, etc. None of these efforts was accepted by God as a way of reconciliation because the scripture says, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags;..." (Isaiah 64:6). Our self righteousness did not meet up with God's required standard.

This is what Christ provided for us on the cross. We became acceptable to God through the cross. We gained freedom from sin, satan, sickness, curses, evil covenants and evil foundations. Racial barriers were broken through the cross and a new relationship with God was established.

The cross of Christ is the centre point for mankind's existence on earth after the fall of the first man -Adam. We became members of God's family through the cross of Christ. We experienced God's incomparable love through the cross. The cross of Christ is the centre of human history. It is the bridge that created access to man, from the lost state to the place of happiness and a better life both here on earth and in the life to come.

You too can enjoy the benefits that the cross brought to mankind by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ today. And if you have already accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, you can continue to enjoy more of these benefits by remaining in Him.

Through Christ's death on the cross, those who turn to Him are delivered from both the penalty and power of sin. Hence, we gained righteousness in place of sin, perfect health in place of sickness, long life in place of untimely death, blessings in place of poverty, glory in place of shame, divine acceptance instead of condemnation and eternal life instead of eternity in hell. Truly, salvation comes through a cross and a crucified Christ!

Today's Devotion |Thursday| [THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CROSS (I)]

MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CROSS (I)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Numbers 21:4-9

MEMORY VERSE:

1 Peter 2:24 "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

PRAISE WORSHIP: Take a worship song as led by the Holy Spirit

THE MESSAGE:

One of the terrible consequences of sin is that it brings the wrath of God upon the sinner and opens the doorway for the enemy to attack him or her. In Numbers 21:4-9, the Bible reveals that the children of Israel again complained and murmured against God and Moses, His servant. Their complaint and ill-speaking were tantamount to ingratitude and unbelief. God became angry with them and sent fiery serpents to their midst. The serpents killed many of them. Therefore, the people went to Moses to apologise and they told him to beg God on their behalf. When Moses interceded for them, God told him to make a brass serpent and hang it on a tree. He added that whosoever was bitten by the fiery serpent and would look at the brass serpent on the pole would be healed. Moses did as God commanded him. From that time, as many as were bitten by the fiery serpent, who looked at the brass serpent on the pole, lived. This Old Testament story can be summarised as sin, its consequence, which is death, and the way out, which is salvation.

In the story above, the pole and the brass serpent were the solution that God offered. In John 3:14-16, Jesus said, "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Beloved, Jesus is the answer and solution to the problem of sin and its terrible consequences that the devil has brought up on mankind. Sin opened the doorway of sickness, poverty, pain, sorrow, the wrath of God and separation from Him, and so on. Besides, the wages of sin is death. That is why God in His matchless love for sinful and helpless man, gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ as substitute to die on the cross at Calvary, and that whosoever believes in Him and His atoning sacrifice should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

Truly, the cross, to us who are saved, is the power of God. Jesus' life was laid down for yours and mine on the cross. There, the Son paid all our debts, and earned us forgiveness and life!

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus; the Author and Perfecter of our faith.
